Subversion Day Berlin 2010
Having received very positive feedback for last year's event, there will be another "Subversion Day" in Berlin in 2010!
This year our focus will be on
- The upcoming Subversion 1.7 release
- The new vision for Subversion which was discussed by several of Subversion's authors during a meeting in New York in March
- Important topics concerning the daily use of Subversion
Participants will gain a long-range perspective on Subversion-based SCM in their organisation. Participants will also reflect on their current SCM solutions and share their experiences with other professional Subversion users.
When Subversion is introduced into an organisation, many questions are raised. Generally, the early questions are narrowly technical, such as "How long does will it take to update my working copies?" or "How large will the repository be?". But a successful integration of Subversion into an SCM process requires answers to question like "What abstractions does Subversion provide to model my SCM process?" or "How can Subversion help our developers to understand and carry out our process?"
Share knowledge and experience with a wide range of professional Subversion users including project managers, developers, and administrators. Meet several long-time authors of Subversion who will be on site and ready to answer any questions you may have.
The Subversion Day itself will happen on 11th June 2010, preceded by a full day of hands-on workshops on 10th June 2010.
Further information can be found here.
We look forward to meeting you!
PS: By attending Subversion Day you support the Subversion Open Source community. Registration fees will support independent Subversion authors to attend the event and gather for a 4-day session of intense face-to-face discussion and Subversion development.
