Alongside a five-day Apache Subversion Hackathon event, the Subversion Day Berlin 2011 will take place on 19th of May 2011. Interesting workshops around Subversion will be offered on 18th of May 2011.

Meet Subversion committers, professional Subversion users and other Subversion experts and exchange valuable knowledge and experience!
Get first-hand updates on the active development of Subversion and detailed information about release 1.7 from the Subversion committers themselves: C. Michael Pilato, Greg Stein, Hyrum Wright, Julian Foad, Ivan Zhakov, Johan Corveleyn, Stefan Fuhrmann, Lieven Govaerts, Bert Huijben, Daniel Shahaf, Stefan Sperling, Neels Hofmeyr and Stephen Butler, among others.
Greg Stein will hold the keynote and refer to the stability and reliability of Subversion. There will also be several talks by Subversion committers, such as “Subversion Stew: A Discussion of Subversion's Past, Present, and Future“ or “Subversion Error Messages Demystified (Overview of Obscure Errors and their Meaning)” as well as a roundtable to “’What's Been Happening at the Hackathon?’ and other Questions...”
And, of course, the Subversion Day will convey deep insights into the practical use and integration of Subversion into the development process. User reports will be presented by Schlomo Schapiro (ImmobilienScout24), Jörg Seidel (Vector Informatik), Martin Acevedo (Mettler Toledo) as well as Uwe Stühler (freelance CM Consultant), among others. Their talks “Configuration Management with SVN and RPM”, “Stabiler Betrieb von Subversion unter Windows: Ein Erfahrungsbericht”, “Akzeptanz von Open Source Software in Unternehmen” and “Employing Open Source Conventions for Rapid Release Cycles” provide real-world accounts of everyday work with Subversion. Rainer Heinold (CollabNet) will talk about “Best Practices for SVN Enterprise Administration”, and Alexander Kitaev (TMate Software) about "Subversion and Git: Using both without Compromises".
Additionally, you have the option of attending a workshop on 18th of May 2011. There will be two Subversion workshops featuring practical exercises in advanced use of hook scripts and effective use of git-svn for Subversion users. A third workshop will outline the migration of highly integrated tools to an Open Source stack based on Subversion.
